WHAT IS RAMADHAN:
The purpose of Ramadhan is about;
1. The Month of Spirituality or remembrance,
2. Devotion,
3. Jihad and;
4. Martyrdom.
In Muslim tradition, it is also perceived as a month of jihad and martyrdom, a month in which Allah grants military victories to His believers. (References: Quran 3:121-127,173-174. / Quran 8:7-12, 42-44 /48)
It was during Ramadan that Muslims triumphed in many of their battles, among them the battle of Badr in 624 between supporters of Muhammad and a merchant caravan of the Quraysh tribe; the conquest of Mecca in 630. The whole objective of Ramadhan is to steadfast against infidel by emulating the battle of Badr led by the example of Arabian Prophet Muhammad.
